Role purpose: 

The Local P&C Business Partner acts as the trusted first point of contact for local managers and employees in all People & Culture matters. The role combines hands-on operational HR support, reliable administrative execution, employee relations guidance, and local implementation of global P&C standards. It ensures compliant, consistent and service-oriented people processes while supporting leadership, engagement, workforce planning and continuous improvement at local level.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the local P&C contact for managers in the region of ANZ + SEEA and employees, providing practical guidance on employment lifecycle topics, local policies, processes and day-to-day people matters.
  • Support local workforce planning, recruitment coordination, onboarding, payroll, probation period follow-up, employee changes, exits and other employee lifecycle activities in close collaboration with relevant P&C functions.
  • Execute and coordinate administrative P&C tasks such as preparing employee documents, maintaining personnel data, supporting contract changes, absence-related processes, HR system entries, reporting and audit-ready documentation.
  • Advise and coach local managers on leadership, employee relations, performance, engagement, conflict resolution and implementation of local people measures.
  • Ensure compliant and consistent application of local labor law, company policies, employee relations standards and global P&C frameworks, escalating complex matters when required.
  • Prepare local HR reports, monitor relevant people data, support annual P&C cycles such as performance, salary review, talent processes and engagement actions, and contribute to process improvements.
  • Foster a culture of health, safety, and wellbeing by partnering with local leaders on leadership advocacy, wellbeing awareness campaigns, and manager enablement programs.
  • Champion collaboration across global strategies, translating global P&C initiatives into locally relevant, effective implementation plans.
  • Advise stakeholders using local talent market intelligence, providing insight on competitive compensation benchmarks, talent availability, and workforce planning strategy.
  • Drive DEI in all people practices, ensuring this approach across all organizational levels.

 

Skills required:

  • 10+ as HR/People & Culture Business Partner or Generalist
  • Extensive experience managing core HR operations, including Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Employee Relations, Talent Development, HR Analytics and Reporting, and HR Information Systems (preferably SAP-Success Factors).
  • Regional HR business partnering, strong service orientation and ability to translate business needs into practical people solutions.
  • Knowledge of local labor law,  policy application, compliance requirements and confidentiality standards.
  • Manager advisory skills, communication, conflict handling, coaching ability and pragmatic problem solving in local business situations.
  • Ability to support local workforce planning, onboarding, performance cycles, engagement measures and change initiatives.
  • Data literacy, digital tool confidence, continuous improvement mindset and ability to use reports and HR data responsibly for local decision support.
